Thrissur Railway Passengers' Association, TRPA is the confluence of all the stake holders who are interested in the development of Railway facilities in and around Thrissur. Naturally, all the people who avail Railway facilities from Thrissur and other neighbouring stations are automatically the members of this association. Due to the historic reasons, commuters from Thrissur towards Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Palakkad sides form the active group. TRPA always stands for meeting the public demands and this process is well supported by Railway Men, Political Leaders and the Media in Thrissur. The tireless efforts by TRPA in achieving the long standing basic requirements of Thrissur are well recognised and appreciated by one and all. Train through Pollachi

(Mathrubhumi Palakkad dt 13-9-2017)

  1. All these discrepancies in train services, underutilization of the railway infrastructure in the Palakkad Jn - Dindigul Jn section after the gauge conversion ( Pollachi bound trains originating/terminating at Palakkad Town Station instead of the Palakkad Junction as well; Now plying just one up/one down train! ) evidently shows conspiracies and mismagement in our Public Utility Services. Where are our M.Ps??????? Are they not duty bound to take forward the grievances of their home state??? .....or just concerned to claim huge air travel bill for their trips between New Delhi and Kerala????

Our Kerala M.Ps must know that the Pollachi based leaders of all parties, mainly regional 'Drawida' parties are spreading the news that the Palakkad Division deliberately shows step-motherly attitude towards the CBE( Coimbatore Jn.) - PTJ (Podanur)- POY(Pollachi) and the requisite number of trains are deliberately not introduced. They spread false news as if the Palakkad Division is keen on doing some favour for railway sections within Kerala state. The fact is that the Palakkad Division could do nothing to the Palakkad region and even had withdrawn the already introduced trains in the Palakkad - Pollachi section. Those in Coimbatore and Pollachi who clamour for the delinking the Pollachi - Podanur section from the Palakkad Division and merge with the Salem Division many not be unaware of the factual details. They are supposed to know that the Chennai based Zonal Division is more responsible for the plight of both Palakkad Pollachi and Pollachi - Coimbatre sections after the gauge conversion.
